Thanks for your suggestion. That page appears in two scenarios:

• When someone visits the site for the first time and clicks to create a new account.


• When someone is trying to respond to a need and must create an account before they can complete their response.

Because of these two different scenarios, we had to create a message that was generic enough to cover both. If we had one of the messages you suggest above, new users who aren't currently responding to a need would be confused.

I can look into having the system provide a different message depending on where the volunteer started (whether in a need response or now). If we're able to make a change like that, it would definitely need to go through the enhancement process. Thanks!
