Sign In Slip Up

I have found that when people are trying to sign up for a "Need", if they are not already signed in, the system makes them either register or sign in. Either way it goes if they do that they have to go all the way back and sign up again for the "Need". I think it would be an easy fix to have them sign in and then get the "Thank you for singing up for this need" black box that comes up.  Thanks.

I think this is a great suggestion, and will make sure to document this in our enhancement review list. I can definitely see how it would be a smoother user experience for people who try to respond to a need to be redirected back to the need page after they have signed in or finished registration.

Just circling back to this suggestion to let you know that I was unable to recreate this issue. Would you be able to explain in more detail the steps you are seeing on your end?


I tested a few scenarios:

  • New user that is logged out and clicks "Respond" that is made to register
  • Existing user that is logged out, clicks respond, and is made to log in
  • Existing user that is logged out, clicks respond, is made to log in, and has required fields in their profile missing


With each of these scenarios, upon logging in I was brought to the need response area as expected to finish my response (screenshot from my test site):


This is good news, but I want to make sure I am not misunderstanding your request. Let me know if I am missing something here!
