The user extra data fields do not allow for robust editing or addition of new fields that obey the proper data types chosen for those fields.

For instance Long Text fields show up as a short text field when attempting to edit them in the user screen and mangles the text as a result. It should be a memo field with multiple lines when dealing with long text fields.
