Thanks for adding to our forums! Can you tell me how you are collecting hours for folks that volunteer without having registered previously? 

Typically, when team leaders or members with accounts submit their hours or check out, they do have the option of submitting what is called "Plus One Hours". This is a good way to collect hours from users that do not have accounts on your site or show up as one of those reserved slots.

Are you currently using Plus-One Hours?
