Some volunteer opportunity postings on your local Connect site may include a red Qualification Needed button, as shown in this example:
If you see this button, it means that the opportunity is only open to individuals who have proven that they meet certain criteria, or "qualifications."
How Do I Know What Qualifications Are Required?
To see what qualifications are required, scroll to the Required Qualifications area at the bottom of the need posting.
I Think I'm Qualified. What's Next?
If you meet the criteria listed under Required Qualifications, you will need to update the Qualifications area of your user profile. Once a site manager has approved your qualification(s), you'll be able to respond to the opportunity. If you're not approved, you'll be notified via email.
Note: If you don't have a user account on the site, you'll need to create an account before you can respond to any volunteer opportunity. You may be asked about your qualifications during the registration process. If you aren't, you should update the Qualifications area of your new user profile.
