In this lesson, we’ll do a quick run-through of your site, asking a few questions to help clarify what is already done, what is yet to be done, and what you might want to do differently.
The current state of my site
Let’s look first as some of the basics, get you clicking around on the site, and see where things stand. (As you go through these questions, also ask yourself how difficult it is for you to find the answers. This self-assessment will help you figure out your training needs as well as your site needs.)
Site settingsDoes your site have a banner that is specific to your local United Way?
Are site colors customized for your United Way?
Are there any spotlights posted? Are they up to date?

Are the causes and interests appropriate for your United Way?
Are any custom questions set up? What info are they capturing?
Have there been any agencies added recently?

Have any volunteers joined your site recently?
What are the most recent responses on your site?
When is the last time volunteers submitted hours on your site? What is the status of those hours?
What I think about it
Let’s get a sense of what you think and feel about using your Get Connected site.
Were you surprised by anything on the site? For example, what was your response to the level of activity on the site?
What do you see as the most valuable part of your site? Is that feature being utilized by agencies or volunteers or the previous site manager?
What do you like best about the current state of your site?
What do you want to improve about your site?
What do you see as easy improvements?
What do you think might be challenging for you to improve?
