Stop showing expired shifts for 'Recurring Shift' roles in the 'Opportunity Response' page

Hello,

If I could change one thing about Galaxy, this would be it. Nearly all of our opportunities are recurring shift opportunities, and many have multiple shifts/day.  When a volunteer selects to respond to an opportunity like this, their 'Opportunity Response' page shows ALL past shifts, in addition to the current and future dates (see photo).  Today is March 19, 2021, an they see everything from January, February, and early March.

I understand I could close one opportunity and open another, but this would be terrible for being able to track data for our opportunities, so I would really rather not have to do that.

At the very least, there should be a toggle button to "show expired shifts" or not, and the default should be to NOT show expired shifts.  That button is present on the Site Manager's side for viewing shifts for an opportunity, why is it not there for the volunteer?

I strongly urge the team to take a look at this and find a solution.  It's a huge pain point for our organization.

Thank you for your consideration!

Hi Allison,

Thanks so much for following up and adding your thoughts to our forums. We hear you and your volunteer's frustrations, and are working on improving this area of the software.

Recently, we pushed an update to only show users expired shifts that they previously responded to on this list. Any shifts they were not part of will no longer show here, which should help shorten this list immensely for the time being.

We decided to keep past shifts a user has responded to on this page, because users can also revisit this list to manage their responses. They see this button when revisiting an Opportunity they have already responded to they are able to click on:

I hope this helps with your volunteer workflows!

That is perfect!!  I'm so happy to hear about this update, and I know it will make a difference for our volunteers' experience.  THANK YOU!!
