Thanks for posting to the forum. This is what I'll add to our Enhancement Team's inbox to review for consideration:
"The ability to add notes on a shift by shift basis to record internal data about impact, happenings, etc.."

It would be great to be able to add a custom note to a specific volunteer shift. For example at my organization, we pack weekend bags of food for children in need. We need to not internally the number of bags that need to get packed for each shift. there is no way to put a public or private note on the shift. We have to keep a separate spread sheet to track the number of bags packed per event making double work.
