Single Sign-On Login Suggestion

We use SSO for our volunteers to sign into our Galaxy VMS. The current site setup requires the volunteer to access multiple site pages before they can access their volunteering opportunities.

Login page 1: The volunteer clicks on 'Login' button from the main site.

Login page 2: The main site connects to (Galaxy) login page. The volunteer clicks on 'Login' or 'SSO Login' button.

Login page 3: The (Galaxy) login page connects to our SSO login page. The volunteer clicks on our SSO form to either register for SSO or sign in with SSO.

The desired change aims to enhance customer experience by reducing number of login clicks from Galaxy main site. The expectation is to make the login button from the main site (Login page 1) go directly to our corporate SSO (Login page 3).

As advised, there is no way to make the login button at the top of the screen go directly to a specific URL and bypass the login page that has SSO. Hence, raising this as suggestion for enhancement with SSO.

Hi Angeline,

This is an interesting idea, thanks so much for adding it here! I will add this to our notes to review at a future Enhancements meeting with the team:

"When a site only utilizes SSO for their external tenant (meaning, they do not also allow for local log in or Facebook log in), have the Log In button in the top navigation bar link directly to their SSO log in page instead of the Galaxy Digital log in landing page. This would minimize the number of clicks the user would need to be able to log into the site."

Thanks again,

Shonie
