Adding "Plus-One" to the App

We use the "Plus-One" feature for a few different volunteer scenarios we encounter. We do not currently use the app, but when I was looking at it as a possibility to help us track hours, I noticed the "Check-In" feature does not include "Plus-One" when someone checks into a shift. Is this something that can be added to the app, so that it aligns with the "Check-In" options on the website and through the kiosk? This is a big drawback for us when it comes to the app.

Thank you for reaching out with your question! I'll be happy to share some information here. 


Similar to the way that volunteers are able to submit Plus-One hours during the check out process, volunteers are prompted in the app to submit Plus-One hours when they check out as well. While they will not see the Plus-One hours while checking in, they can always be submit by volunteers as they check out as needed. If there are any other questions about this or a specific use case that you would like to share so that Plus-One hours are moved to a different stage in the process, please feel free to let me know!

When we use the kiosk feature for check-in, we do not have volunteers checkout since they do not come back to the office when they are done volunteering. Therefore, we have have the system automatically check them out. This is why it's important for us to have the "Plus-One" feature in check-in so they can add it when they arrive. If we were to have volunteers use the app, I would be concerned they wouldn't remember to checkout since we've never asked them to do that and therefore wouldn't be able to add a "Plus-One." It would be a lot easier and more convenient to have this feature in check-in rather than checkout.
